Aurora Studio & Gallery has been hosting its therapeutic workshops since 2013.
- Aurora 101 – is a basic art group for individuals who have life experience with mental health issues or have been in recovery for one or more years.
- Collaboration with other programs. In 2019 we began collaborating with other programs in order to expand our outreach. To date we have offered specialized programming with; Seek Healing (a community based recovery program), WNCAP (Western North Carolina AIDS Project), Youth Villages Life Set Program (for youth aging out of foster care) and our about to collaborate with NAMI WNC (National Alliance on Mental Health Western North Carolina).
How do I sign up?
Individuals interested in participating in Aurora Studio self identify as having lived experience with mental health issues; are in recovery from addiction and receiving support or are or have been homeless.
There are ten seats in each class (so there is the potential of getting on a waiting list). Candidates need to schedule an interview to register.
